Elbow Dysplasia

Elbow Dysplasia is a condition that causes pain, swelling and eventually arthritis in the elbow joints of dogs. It is a syndrome of developmental defects that may affect different parts of the elbow joint. It is often hereditary and most commonly seen in medium / large breeds. Symptoms can be managed with exercise control, weight management, physiotherapy and pain relief. Surgical repair may be an option for some patients.
